Gail Rees has recently been appointed as Executive Assistant to NCC (NZ) Ltd's Executive Director, Mike Kelly, replacing Emma Crew (Milne) who, after 3 years in the position, has shifted to Brisbane with her husband Jayson.
Gail has plenty of experience in the entertainment and corporate events industry. She has set up tours and worked as tour manager for local bands such as When the Cats Away, has been wardrobe mistress for theatre shows including Bananas in Pyjamas and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was involved in production for the WOMAD Festival. Christchurch born, she has been away for 28 years. For the last 20 years she has lived in Auckland, where she was Administration/Office Manager at Filta Vacuum Products for seven years and before moving to Auckland, she lived in Australia.
"It's great to be back in my home town and to be working again in the wonderfully exciting and varied entertainment and corporate world. To return to the South Island with a fantastic new position and be with family is something I have wanted to do."
Gail has travelled to Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and the Cook Islands. Her outside interests revolve around two pet Chihuahuas, reading and gardening.
