CHRISTCHURCH CONVENTION CENTRE: NZ Sales Executive appointed
Rachel Cook has been appointed Sales Executive – New Zealand for international venue management company NCC (NZ) Ltd, taking on the position previously held by Jo Robinson, who has taken over the Australian/Pacific sales role.
Rachel’s career history combines a strong sales background in corporate travel and business development in the meetings, hospitality, travel and accommodation industries.
“I’ve got a sense of having unlimited scope to develop the corporate and association markets for the Christchurch Convention Centre, and I will base that around working with specialist purpose built facilities in a city that’s great for conferencing,” Rachel said.
Cathy Hemsworth, Director Sales and marketing, says the companyis fortunate to have secured Rachel given her industry knowledge and proven sales experience. ‘Rachel will bring a new and dynamic dimension to the sales team,” she said.
Rachel has worked in Auckland, Wellington and Adelaide, where she was Stamford Hotel’s banquet and conferencing manager.
Now back in Christchurch and living beachside, Rachel is fast becoming a devotee of the Christchurch lifestyle with its gracious central city, sophisticated fashion, food and retail, but lacking the traffic problems of bigger cities.
