The Auditorium is designed primarily as a concert hall, having superb acoustic qualities. Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos on site and a Rieger pipe organ.

It is, however, readily adaptable for use as a conference or exhibition venue, even as an indoor sports stadium. Special features include removable seating in the ground floor stall area and extensive backstage facilities.
